. . . . . . . . How to Leverage the Law of Attraction in Practice

What does it mean to ASK?

When I first learned about the Law of Attraction, I didn’t understand what was meant, when people talked about the importance of ASKING.

As in:

  • “Don’t forget to ask for what you want”
  • “The asking part is very important”
  • “I asked for more money and a week later I got an unexpected 1250 USD”

I pretty soon understood that asking was important. But I had no idea, what it really meant, and it took me quite a while to figure it out.

 

What is asking?

 

Do you know what it means to ask?

It actually means several things.

It means knowing what you want.

And it also means expressing what you want in some way or other.

You can do this in various ways, for instance

  • write it down
  • say it out loud to yourself
  • put it on your vision board
  • tell it to someone you like
  • or you can simply think about it deliberately!

It’s not so important whether you call it

  • launching desires
  • setting goals
  • creating a vision
  • or something else

it’s all asking!

What is important, is that you become aware of what you want and clearly express it in some way.

 

Instructions

 

It has helped me a lot to think of it this way:

When you are asking, your are sending instructions to the Universe that “this is what I want, bring me this!”

I find that extremely powerful!

Most of my life, I believed that in order to improve my financial situation, I had to work harder or be more economical.

So I did. Both.

But I never seemed to get more money out of it.

On the contrary, over the years my financial situation grew worse and worse.

Until Hubby and I were on the brink of loosing our house.

 

I got it all wrong

 

That’s when I finally understood that I had gotten it all wrong.

I realized that my money situation is not a reflection of how hard I work or how economical I am. If it were, I should have been very wealthy then!

Instead, my money situation is a direct reflection of my so-called money vibe.

And in order to change my money situation, I must change my money vibe!

It’s the only way!

 

Money vibe?

 

My money vibe is the result of the sum of my thoughts, habits, attention and feelings around money and money related situations.

And in order to change my money situation, I must change my thoughts, beliefs, expectations, habits and feelings around money.

And change what I give my attention to on a daily basis as regards money.

Which is A LOT!!! (And impossible to do in one fell swoop!).

 

Bit by bit

 

Luckily, you don’t have to change ALL of it to get more money into your life.

Actually, as soon as you start changing some (or even just one!) of your thoughts, habits, etc., changes in your money situation will start happening as well.

Even if you don’t work!

I know it may sound weird and hard to believe. I don’t mind admitting that it took me years to be convinced of this myself.

However, now I know that it is true.

From my own experience.

I’ve managed to improve my financial situation, when I was out of work.

I’ve also managed to improve my (our) financial situation, when Hubby was out of work and I was only working part time!

So I know it works this way 🙂

 

The more the better

 

Needless to say, the more you change your thoughts, habits, etc., the more your money situation will change for the better.

Automatically!

It has to!

Because your money situation is a direct reflection of your money vibe! So when your money vibe changes, your money situation changes accordingly.

By law!

Because that is the way the Law of Attraction works.

The fastest way to make a desire come true is to FEEL NOW, how you will feel then.

This means that you already now should think, feel and act in the same way that you will think, feel and act, once your desire comes true.

Because the more you do this, the more you bring yourself into vibrational harmony with you desire.

 

Your desire will manifest

 

Once you do it enough to become a vibrational match, your desire will manifest.

It has to.

Because that is the way the Law of Attraction works!

 

A powerful question

 

Whether you are wanting to manifest more money, better health, a new job or something else, ask yourself this powerful question:

How will I feel, once I have achieved the desired situation?

Your answer could be something like this: I will feel

  • freedom / security / satisfaction (money)
  • love / security / satisfaction (relationship)
  • lightness / freedom / satisfaction (ideal weight)
  • health / freedom / security (better health)
  • satisfaction / security / success (new job)

 

Follow-up questions

 

Once you have discovered the feeling, ask yourself these two questions:

1. Where in my life do I already feel this feeling?

If, for instance, more money will make you feel freedom, then where in your life do you already feel free?

  • When you are not wearing socks / are wearing 2 different socks / are sleeping naked?
  • When you have 7 books next to your bed and you have read a few pages in each of them?
  • When you spend an entire Sunday watching old movies?

2. What else can I do to activate this feeling?

Again, if having more money will make you feel freedom, then what else can you do to feel more free?

The more you do the stuff that activates ”your” feeling, the faster your desire will manifest!

Remember to keep it light and enjoyable and have fun with it  🙂

I am sometimes asked this question: “Does the Law of Attraction only work if you believe in it?”

And my answer is always the same:

No!

The Law of Attraction always works!

Always.

Whether you are aware of it or not.

Whether you believe in it or not.

The Law of Attraction always works

 

The Law of Attraction always works.

Everything that we experience is a result of what we have been attracting up till now. And we are all experienced in using the principles of the Law of Attraction and creating our own lives – most people are just not aware of it and are therefore attracting automatically and unconsciously.

Did you ever wonder why some people seem to be working hard year after year, seem to be financially responsible, and yet it is as if they never have enough money? (This was me, not that many years ago!)

Or why some people seem to always be unlucky?

And then there are others who seem to always be lucky and with very little effort go from one success to the other?

Or you might even know it from your own life, how for longer periods of time everything seems to go wrong? And then for other periods everything seems to go right, smoothly and easily?

All of this is the Law of Attraction in action!

So the trick is to learn how to use your attraction power deliberately.

And that is precisely what this blog is all about 🙂

I am not very visual, so a vision board is not one of my favorite law of attraction manifesting tools.

Nevertheless, I have two vision boards on my wall and I love them. I love their energy and the way they make me feel.

 

What is a vision board?

 

A vision board is a collection of pictures of the things and experiences that you would like to have in your life; it is like a wishlist for your life, expressed visually.

It helps you maintain focus on what it is that you want and what is important to you.

Place your vision board on your wall (or in a more discreet place, if you do not want others to see it!) somewhere, where you will see it every day, and take a few minutes to dwell on it every day; imagine that you already have these things, people and experiences in your life and feel how delicious it feels.

How to create a Vision Board

 

You will need a bunch of magazines, a board, a pair of scissors and glue.

  1. Tear out all the pictures that affect you in a positive way (makes you feel happy, touched, enthusiastic, etc.)

–   add pictures from the Internet, photos or drawings.

–   be creative and let your unconscious mind rule.

–   you might want to limit this part of the process to for instance 30 minutes.

  1. Sort your pictures

–   do you want your vision board to be general or to be specific to a particular area of your life?

–   are some of the pictures too much alike?

–   could some of the pictures be represented by one particular picture?

–   you might want to limit this part of the process to for instance 10 minutes.

  1. Adapt the chosen pictures

–   be creative and use your imagination.

–   add your own face to a picture of a supermodel’s body

–   draw the cover page of the book, you wish to write – and remember to add the name of the author – you!

–   use a heart and a wedding ring to symbolize that you wish to get married

  1. Add your pictures to your board

–   fix them to your board with glue or pins

–   or fix them to a sheet of paper, which you then laminate.

  1. Mount your vision board on the wall, where you will see it every day

–   or find a more discreet place, if you do not want others to see it.

  1. Enjoy looking at your vision board every day

–   imagine your desires coming true one by one

–   add new pictures, whenever a new desire comes up

–   enjoy and appreciate how more and more desires manifest over time.

Many people tend to believe that once you know about the Law of Attraction and learn how to use its principles, you’ll get to live a life without any problems.

For a long time, I believed so myself.

I didn’t get it

 

And as I kept experiencing problems and challenges, I believed it was because “I didn’t do it right” or “I didn’t get it”.

I wonder if it is because many books and blogs about the Law of Attraction promise that with the Law of Attraction you can have, be and do everything you want.

And most of us believe that we want ”a life with no problems”.

This is not so

 

However, over time I have come to realize that this is not so.

Knowing the Law of Attraction does not equal no more problems in my life.

And no matter how experienced I become at mastering the principles of the Law of Attraction deliberately, I will continue to experience unwanted situations now and then.

And that is fine!

What do you want?

 

Because every time we experience something that we don’t like, it gives us the opportunity to find out what it is that we do want.

It’s no big deal, really, and it’s actually quite helpful.

Every unwanted situation is an opportunity to gain clarity and to launch new desires.

And our job is then simply to focus less on the unwanted situation and more on the new desire. Which, by the way, may not always be easy, but the more we practice, the easier it becomes!

How is your money vibe?

Simply put, your vibration is your thoughts and feelings.

Or said in another way, your vibration is the energy you send out as a result of what you think, what you say to others, what you do and what you feel.

According to the Law of Attraction your vibrations are always matched, so you get what you vibrate.

What is your money vibe?

 

Vibe is short for vibration and your money vibe is the overall money attracting frequency, you are vibrating at right now.

It is the result of the sum of your thoughts, words, beliefs, habits, expectations, feelings and actions in connection with money and money related situations.

Why is your money vibe important?

 

According to the Law of Attraction your vibrations are always matched, so you get what you vibrate.

Thus, your money vibe is the reason why your financial situation is the way it is!

And in order to change your financial situation, you must first change your money vibe.

How to find out what your current money vibe is?

 

It is pretty simple to find out, what your current money vibe is:

  • Just look at your current financial situation
  • Notice what you say about money
  • Notice how you feel about money
  • Notice what you do with money (and what you refrain from doing because of money)

Other expressions for money vibe

 

I prefer the expression money vibe, because it reminds me that everything is energy and I get, what I vibrate.

However, there are several other terms:

  • money thermostat
  • money mindset
  • money set point
  • money blue print

and they more or less describe the same.

How to change your money vibe

 

In order to change your money vibe (so your financial situation can change accordingly), you must change one or more of the following:

  • what you think about money and money related situations
  • what you say about money and money related situations
  • your beliefs about money
  • your money habits
  • your money expectations
  • what you do – or don’t do – in situations where money is involved

What happens, when you change your money vibe?

 

When you change your thoughts, words, beliefs, etc., about money, your money vibe changes. And when that happens, your financial situation will automatically change accordingly – that is how the Law of Attraction works.

I was reminded of this awesome law of attraction tool recently and thought I would share it here with you.

And I better be honest with you:
the first time I was presented with this tool years ago, I didn’t get it.
I absolutely didn’t get it.
And I absolutely didn’t like it.

However, I gave it a chance and tried it several times over a period of time, and as I grew used to it, I also became pretty fond of it.

If you are not very visual (like me!), this tool is really helpful to get you in touch with your vision.

Here is how it works:

Three answers to four questions

 

Think of your goal and imagine it has already happened.

With this in mind, give three answers to each of the following four questions.

  • Question # 1: What do you see that shows you that you have achieved this?
  • Question # 2: What do you hear (including what others will say) that shows you, this is achieved?
  • Question # 3: What do you hear yourself saying that shows you have achieved this?
  • Question # 4: What do you feel (what are you holding or touching) that shows you have achieved this?

These are four very powerful questions that together will help you connect to your vision and get you into the feeling state of already having achieved your goal.

Here is an example to show you, what the answers could look like:

Example

 

My goal is to manifest USD 20,000

Question # 1: What do you see that shows you that you have achieved this?

  • I see my bank account balance, it says 21,138 after I paid all my bills!
  • I see my new shoes; it’s the first time I’ve bought so expensive shoes and they are awesome.
  • I see the organic strawberries in the fridge, even if it’s in the middle of the winter.

Question # 2: What do you hear (including what others will say) that shows you, this is achieved?

  • English spoken everywhere, as I am in London with my teenage daughter.
  • I hear hubby say ”I’m so glad we got new windows, the house is much warmer and more comfortable now”.
  • ”Wow, your shoes are beautiful

Question # 3: What do you hear yourself saying that shows you have achieved this?

  • ”I just bought us plane tickets to London for the upcoming school holiday”
  • “I love how easy money comes into my life”
  • ”I just bought these awesome shoes”

Question # 4: What do you feel (what are you holding or touching) that shows you have achieved this?

  • I feel the boarding card in my hand as I’m off to London with my teenage daughter.
  • I feel the bag of organic groceries, I just bought.
  • I feel my feet enjoying my new awesomely comfortable shoes.

This tool originates from PSYCH-K, but in my experience it serves perfectly as a law of attraction manifesting tool as well.

Feeling GOOD vs feeling BETTER

feeling-good-vs-betterFor a very long time, I mistakenly believed that the Law of Attraction was all about feeling good all the time.

And every time I didn’t feel good, I thought I was doing something wrong.

So it brought a lot of relief to me, once I realized that it is not so much about feeling good, as it is about finding a way to feel better from where I am right now.

And that is something completely different!

Angry feels better

 

Let me give you a couple of examples to illustrate what I mean:

  • If you are feeling depressed, thinking about something that makes you feel angry will actually make you feel better, as anger feels better than depression (at least for most people). Feeling angry, however, will not make you feel good, even though it will make you feel better from where you were.
  • If you are feeling angry, thinking about something that makes you feel frustrated will make you feel better, as frustration feels better than anger (for most people). Feeling frustrated, however, will probably not feel good, but it will still make you feel better from where you were.

What a relief!

 

When I realized this, I felt a lot of relief, as it means that:

  • I don’t have to feel good all the time (phew!)
  • I’m not doing anything wrong, if I’m not feeling good (more phew!)
  • I always have the option of doing something that makes me feel a bit better from where I am, which is so much easier than having to do something that makes me feel good!

Understanding other people

 

Over time, I have come to realize a couple of other things from this, that have actually helped me become more understanding and less judgmental in relationship with other people:

  • I don’t need to be quite so hard on myself, when I find myself doing something that makes others feel bad. Maybe this was the only way I could feel better in that situation!
  • And likewise, I don’t need to take it so hard, when someone does something that makes me feel bad. Maybe it was simply the only way, he could feel better in that situation!

ButterflyToday I needed this process, so I thought I would share it with you as well.

This process on how to deal with negative thoughts and emotions is both simple and easy – and freaking powerful!

4 steps

 

The process consists of 4 steps, and it brings you from feeling negative to focusing on what you want in a very short time!

It goes like this:

  1. Acknowledge the negative feeling
  2. Accept the feeling; “it’s OK that I’m feeling this negative feeling”
  3. What I want is this
  4. Repeat as required

Example

 

Let me give you an example.

Let’s pretend I’m worrying about paying my bills. Then the process goes like this:

1. Acknowledge the negative feeling

  • I’m worried about paying my bills
  • I don’t have enough money in my account and I’m worried I will not be able to pay all my bills this month
  • I hate worrying about money and I’m sick and tired of being in this situation

2. Accept the feeling – be OK with it

  • it’s OK that I’m worrying about money
  • it’s OK that I hate worrying about money
  • it’s OK that I’m sick and tired of being in this situation

Continue this acceptance talk, until you feel relief!

Sometimes you won’t feel OK with worrying, in stead you might feel additional frustration, because you know that worrying about money is not helping improve your money vibe.

In this case, just step back one level and feel your way into being OK with that.

  • it’s OK that I’m frustrated about worrying about money
  • it’s OK that I’m not OK with worrying about money

Sometimes you have to step back several levels until you find the relief.

Sometimes you’ll find it right away, in seconds.

As soon as you feel the relief, move on to step 3.

3. What I want is …

  • to feel good about money
  • to feel safe and secure, etc

Now you are giving your attention to what you want instead!!!

If new contrast arises (negative thoughts and emotions), move on to step 4

4. Repeat as required

Take the “new” negative emotion to step 1 and start all over again

Shift focus in seconds

 

With a little practice, this process will help you get from negative emotion to focusing on what you want in seconds!
